Detox Diet Weight Loss with Fruit and Vegetable
Most people think that if they want to lose weight fast they have to totally deprive themselves of tasty food or just plain starve.
I am living proof that this is not true.
I did a detox diet that helped me lose 13 pounds in 14 days and then I went on to lose even more weight after that.
The entire time I was doing the fruit and vegetable detox diet I was not hungry – I actually ate a lot of really tasty food.
So what does a day in the life of a detox dieter on a fruit and vegetable diet look like?
Let me share with you a typical day. Below you will see one day’s menu.
Keep in mind that if you were doing the fruit and vegetable diet you would choose fruits and vegetables that you enjoy.
I wake up every morning and drink a huge glass of cool fresh water. It helps me feel so good because after the long night of restful sleep my body is thirsty. Throughout the day I drink lots of water.
For breakfast, I enjoy whatever fruit is in season. Lately I can’t get enough of watermelon. The mini watermelons are my favorite and I may enjoy a whole one for breakfast. I eat enough to feel full and satisfied – not overstuffed.
For lunch, I may choose to cut up mangos and strawberries and mix them together to make a delicious fruit salad. I often use 2 large mangos and 1 pound of strawberries. As always, I eat enough to feel satisfied and comfortably full.

For dinner, I will have a large healthy smoothie that contains fruits and vegetables. A favorite green smoothie of mine contains the following fresh ingredients that I put in my blender: 2 cups pineapple, a small piece of beet, one-half of a red pepper, one cup blueberries, 2 cups spinach, a cup of broccoli, a couple radishes, one carrot, and whatever else I feel like throwing in. That may sound like a strange concoction but I can tell you it is quite tasty and filling and jam packed with nutrition. The neat thing about smoothies is that it is easy to create one that you will enjoy that has YOUR favorite fruits and vegetables.
So there you have it – a day of eating a fruit and vegetable detox diet plan. Eating like this helped me lose 13 pounds in 14 days! It was simple, tasty, and certainly no deprivation.
